Rather than mounting the hristek, though, it swells underneath its hooves, lifting it and conveying the confused animal down the road like a mobile black carpet. Perhaps it still has more to learn about modern society.

A lone hristek stands beside the road, basking in the bright sun. It's carrying several packs of supplies, but there's no rider to be seen. It takes a moment for your eyes to adjust, and then you realize the truth all at once: there are thousands of bugs taking respite in the shade of the hristek, crawling across each other like a black puddle.<br><br>As soon as you take notice, it begins to draw itself up into a Harrower-and it's not until it dons a familiar helm that you realize it's your old companion, the Bladeswarm!<br><br>"Greetings. This creature is assisting in transport of my belongings. The breed is strong-they have sturdy backs and are full of blood inside their skin." The Bladeswarm falls silent, stroking the hristek. After a moment, it snaps its attention back to you and abruptly continues. "I am in search of liquid. If you can provide, I can compensate."
